Weekly Weigh-In - Step Away From The Salt!!

MotivationMonday

This was not a great week!  I ate out over the week end and consumed way too much salt.  So that means I am up 1.5 pounds today.  Salt always affects me this way.  I know this but sometimes it is hard to not have anything with salt.  I can fluctuate as much as 2 or more pounds in a day.  I know that can't be actual weight gain.  I have been working hard moving dirt, moving mulch, and digging each day in my yard.  My shorts are getting looser!  Now if I could just get the scale to cooperate.  Do you have the same problem with salt?  Does it affect your weight as much?

Boo!!!!!!

I found this butterfly/moth on my fence the other day.  I thought it was really cool looking.  I still haven't figured out what is it.

Have you seen one before?  Do you know what it is?

  2. I don't necessarily gain weight, but I cannot lose weight from excess sodium, no matter my exercise level or amount of calories. AND it takes exactly 3 (not 2, not 1) to lose the sodium retention, so in essence I lose 4 days of not losing weight from it. To that end, I am getting used to even asking at restaurants that they tell the chef "no added salt." You really do get used to the taste of little or no salt, and in fact, heavily salted foods suddenly taste nasty.

That said, sometimes I can't tell, and hit that road bump...and that's why I still weigh daily (for now.)

    Sorry for you!

  3. The body of the butterfly is kind of fat. Is it a moth instead?

  4. Salt can affect me up to 5 lbs!! My eyes will be really puffy along with my hands and feet :( It also raises my blood pressure so I do try to stay away as much as possible.
Cute butterfly/moth but no idea it's name.

  5. I have a salt sensitivity, too. It's the worst! I can always tell when I get up if I have had too much.

  6. I think it is a moth. If I eat out, I gain weight.

  7. I always have water at hand. I drink tea or water first when hunger pangs. I replace fluid following nocturnal micturition. Drink water to satisfaction upon rising.
If my diet changes my water requirements change to maintain stasis. I eat fruit and baguette throughout morning. Primary meal before three. All the fruit and vegetables I want until bed. Sleep like a Lark.
Milk fats will gain pounds quickly, they're also full of salt: cheese, ice cream. This has been fun to write! Thanks.
