Eventually you have to hope hubby will follow along. You are doing awesome and being a good example so that is all that can be done right now. :)Losing Shortyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15452707165688228094noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2699419008460778736.post-28902310260258687832013-06-26T08:54:37.463-07:002013-06-26T08:54:37.463-07:00This makes me feel lucky. The only problem I have is getting my sons to eat a bit healthier. I am trying to stick with him on it and not buy things to tempt him. When my husband buys things I tell him to only get enough for him to eat and not lots of something to sit around. He sometimes gets upset because we are not eating things with him. You are right, I just need to take care of my health and hope he eventually follows along.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16149186891188677587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2699419008460778736.post-91876426824485237762013-06-25T22:52:44.397-07:002013-06-25T22:52:44.397-07:00As the old saying goes, you can lead a horse to wa...As the old saying goes, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. That is your husband. Cook healthy. Eat healthy. Get healthy. Hopefully, in time, he will join you. Are you cooking two sets of meals for each meal? Or three? That's gotta stop. Maybe add one dish he can eat, but you cook healthy. If he wants to eat crap, make him make it himself. Tough love. :)Gwenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18386517479350871434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2699419008460778736.post-74891674869315168322013-06-25T22:50:41.973-07:002013-06-25T22:50:41.973-07:00I really do need to check out your recipes! Maybe I can get him to watch it too.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16149186891188677587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2699419008460778736.post-92139510011511768472013-06-25T22:39:25.204-07:002013-06-25T22:39:25.204-07:00Hi Betty:) You did ask for suggestions...save your...Hi Betty:) You did ask for suggestions...save yourself, first and foremost. Focus on your own health to the best of your ability. He will eventually join you...or he won't. You shouldn't let his non-participation bring you down. Being an example to your son is AWESOME!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17690442668699466427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2699419008460778736.post-49127904068138823782013-06-25T22:15:08.403-07:002013-06-25T22:15:08.403-07:00Here are my thoughts on this. If however you make awesome meals like we have - roasts, casseroles etc but replace the potato or keep it less then he might be more interested.

There some great low carb desserts you could make if he is wanting sweet food.

BUT that might not work... sadly. I have always thought that understanding the science behind it is what works. Watching Fathead the movie (link on my blog under links) was very life changing for my husband and I. Also doing blood sugar readings can shock you into eating better.

Other than than, you can only look after you unfortunately. He might change if he sees you change for the better.Lyndahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06856015651957578791noreply@blogger.com
