<li>You get to spend less time visiting your doctor. Don’t you just love going to visit your doctor so the doctor can tell you what your BMI number is. “Oh, let’s see, you fall in the obese category.”</li>
<li>Pills! You might have to get off your blood pressure and cholesterol meds. I mean, doesn’t everyone live to take all those pretty little pills and pay an arm and a leg for them.</li>
<li>Who wants to have to shop for new clothes. Do you really need stylish thin girl clothes? Wouldn’t you be happier in big oversized sweatshirts and sweatpants?</li>
<li>Comfort! Should your clothes really be that comfortable? You just might miss that snug fit of your jeans cutting into your middle.</li>
<li>Do you really want to have people talking behind your back? “She’s had a tummy tuck!” Who wants to have their hard work talked about that way? It’s just easier to stay heavy!</li>
<li>My shoes are too big? They are slipping off my feet. Great! When you lose a bunch of weight you even go down in shoe size. That means buying stylish new shoes to go with the new clothes. Wow! Now it means I have to decide which boots to buy? So many decisions!!</li>
<li>When you lose weight you feel like you have to spend time exercising. No more sitting around like a couch potato. Going to the gym and hanging out with all those other skinny, fit people. Who wants to do that?</li>
<li>Energy! What am I supposed to do with all this new found energy? I used to be happy just sitting at my computer, now I want to get up and do things. Gosh, does this ever end!</li>
<li>Compliments, don’t you just really get tired of them? “Oh my gosh you look so good!” “You’re hot!” I didn’t have <u>that</u> problem before I lost the weight!!</li>
<li>Now, I have to put up with that look in my husband’s eye when I put on my new skinny jeans! You know that look!! I hadn’t seen <u>that</u> in a while! I though that was gone forever!</li>

<span style="font-size: large;">Up until a short time ago Google was my number one traffic source. In the last couple of weeks I have seen Pinterest surge from the number two spot to a resounding number one. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">My Pinterest followers have been increasing at a rate of about 400 new followers a month in the last couple of months. With the increase of followers my Pinterest pageviews have been going up quickly. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I have also been increasing my following on Google+, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Stumbleupon an a few other smaller websites. </span><span style="font-size: large;">I have not seen a substantial increase in pageviews from those sites.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Do you have some busy mornings when you don't have time to fix breakfast? When my morning is too busy to sit down and eat, I make my bacon and eggs to go.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Instead of having high sugar foods for breakfast, you can make bacon and eggs and take them with you on the road or eat them before you go out the door. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">This would also be a great way to make bacon and eggs at the office. If you have a small kitchen there you can make a hot breakfast at work. Very little clean up later!</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">You can give your kids bacon and eggs to eat on the way to school if you are running behind. Instead of a high sugar Pop-Tart or breakfast bar, give them a hot breakfast of bacon and eggs.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I started out by putting 2 slices of bacon in the microwave to cook while I finished getting ready to go. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">After the bacon was cooked and cooled I got out a mug and broke 2 eggs into the mug that I sprayed with Pam. I added 2 T Milk. Next, I salted and peppered it to my taste. I stirred it and put it into the microwave to cook for 45 seconds. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">When I hurried out the door, I didn't leave any mess behind. No dishes to load into the dishwasher, expect a measuring spoon and a fork. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">If you would rather have sausage you cook do the same thing with a pre-cooked sausage patty. Ham would work well too! Or if you like your eggs plain or with veggies you could do that too!</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I had the biggest laugh yesterday! My friend, who has been one of my best friends for over 30 years, told me something yesterday. She and I started out together a few weeks ago. We worked out for several years together when we were younger.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Last Friday, we worked out, then her sister-in-law, met us for lunch and shopping. We spent the afternoon shopping, I wrote about it here, <a href="http://agutandabutt.blogspot.com/2013/10/the-100-diet-is-paying-off.html">The 100 Diet Is Paying Off</a>. That's the day I bought a size 4 skirt. Anyway, after I left, apparently her sister-in-law told her that I had gotten a tummy tuck. My friend disagreed and said "No, she hasn't!" Well, it got into a long discussion and the sister-in-law says "there is no way she could have gotten her stomach that flat without a tummy tuck!" "You'll never convince me she hasn't had a tummy tuck."</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">When my friend told me yesterday, I laughed so hard! I told her maybe I should show her the naked stomach and she would know that I didn't have a tummy tuck. Now, I have been thinking, maybe I should just let her think that. What do you think? And will she ever believe me?</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I have been amazed at the changes in my body since I gave up most processed foods. My stomach has truly melted away. <span style="font-size: large;">I have been following The 100 diet. I don't want anyone to be confused. After the first 4 weeks I increased my sugar calories to 300. Now, I don't really count the sugar calories anymore. I just stay away from processed foods. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I have increased my vegetables and fruits as I have gone along. I am still losing 1/2 to 1 pound weekly. I usually eat an apple each evening. I eat lots of squash and zucchini since it is in season and I can get it locally. I ate tomatoes when I was picking them fresh from my garden. I still am getting a few. So I eat meat, eggs, nuts, cheese, fruits and vegetables. I eat beans occasionally. I don't feel like I am on a diet at all. I feel like I eat whatever I want. I just don't want processed foods anymore. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I did have pizza last week when my family got together after the Colts game to celebrate my birthday. All it did was make me hungry! I really didn't think it was all that great. I used to be addicted to pizza.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">My doctor told me that I should only lose 1 to 2 pounds a month. I didn't follow directions very well. I needed to make changes that would allow me to lose more quickly. I have not had rapid weight loss, but I have lost consistently.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I think most people prefer to lose weight quickly. Even though it took months or years to get to their current weight, they want to get to their goal weight in weeks. You gain weight by eating more or by eating the wrong types of food, so it makes sense that if you reverse that you would lose the weight. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I really don't know if it's better to lose fast or slow. If you take it slow I feel like it gives you time to totally change your habits. If you lose too fast do you really have time to learn new eating habits?</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I have lost 36 pounds and I thought maybe it was time I wrote about my weight loss strategies. I have been using <i>The 100</i> diet. It is similar to the Paleo/Primal/Low Carb diets. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Here are my top 10 Weight Loss Strategies</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">1. <i><b>Decide on an eating plan</b></i>. If this plan is just cutting back calories on the things you eat everyday, then it probably won't work. Most people will feel deprived. You need to start eating very differently. You need to make changes that you can live with, but definite changes. I personally decided to give up processed foods, for the most part. <a href="http://agutandabutt.blogspot.com/2013/07/my-weigh-detailing-100-diet-plan.html"> <i>The 100 sample menu.</i></a></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">2. <i><b>Learn to cook new things.</b></i> I decided it was time to learn to make new vegetable dishes. I did some research and learned to <a href="http://agutandabutt.blogspot.com/2013/10/how-to-cook-spaghetti-squash.html">cook Spaghetti Squash</a>. I had never cooked it before, but it has quickly become a new favorite. I have starting eating many more vegetables. They are very low calorie and the carb content isn't too bad. The great part is they are full of vitamins and are really good for you. I didn't think I cared for squash and zucchini. Before this, the only way I liked zucchini was baked up in a sweet bread. If you experiment with cooking and seasoning you might find that you really like some of the different vegetables. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">3. <b><i>Give yourself a real reason to lose weight.</i></b> My big reason for losing weight is because as I am getting older I am more and more concerned about my health. I want to be healthy and active for many years to come. I couldn't wait any longer, it was time to get started. Do you want to be healthier and more active so you can have more fun with your children? There are many reasons to change your life, you just need to find one that resonates with you.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">4. <i style="font-weight: bold;">Clean out your cupboards. </i>This sounds simple enough, but it really is helpful. I have had a hard time with this because <a href="http://agutandabutt.blogspot.com/2013/07/how-to-eliminate-sugar-from-your-diet.html">my husband has a sweet tooth</a> and has been bringing things into the house all during the time I have been losing weight. I mentally cleaned out my cupboards. If you can <i>actually</i> clean them out I think it is much easier for you. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">5. <b><i> Find a friend that is working on their weight at the same time.</i></b> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">At the time I started I couldn't find anyone who was willing to start getting healthy with me. Since I have had good progress I have found people who are interested in how I did it and want to make changes to their life now. I used my fellow weight loss bloggers to be my partners in my weight loss. <span style="font-size: large;">6. <i style="font-weight: bold;">Make a commitment to yourself. </i>Write your commitment down in some way. Make a contract with yourself. Put it in writing. I did it by making promises on my blog. I proclaimed that I was changing my life. There were a few days when I might have eaten things that I shouldn't have and I thought about having to write about my slip-ups and knew that wasn't something I wanted to do. It was easier to walk away from the offending food. I did have a couple of slip-ups but then I knew I needed to get right back on track or my weigh-ins would be bad. I put a picture of my scale on my blog, even when I had bad weeks. <a href="http://agutandabutt.blogspot.com/2013/04/weigh-in-monday-after-vacation-can-i.html">Here is my worst week!</a></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">7. <b><i>As you lose weight, clean out the bigger clothes.</i></b> When you do this it makes it hard to regain the weight. You don't have anything to wear. It is much more <a href="http://agutandabutt.blogspot.com/2013/10/the-100-diet-is-paying-off.html">fun to buy the smaller sizes</a> than to go out an buy the bigger sizes again.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">8. <i style="font-weight: bold;">Plan out your daily meals in advance. </i>When you have a plan in place it is so much easier to stay on track. If you have an issue with eating out at lunch, then plan your meals. Have you tried making <a href="http://agutandabutt.blogspot.com/2013/08/packing-healthy-low-cost-lunch.html">Salad In A Jar</a>. This is a great way to plan your meals in advance.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">9. <b style="font-style: italic;">If you have to have sweets, eat fresh fruit. </b><a href="http://agutandabutt.blogspot.com/2013/06/would-you-eat-sugar-by-teaspoonful.html">Processed sugar is very addictive</a>. If you stay away sugar, then fruit will taste really sweet to you and will take care of your sweet tooth.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">10. <b><i>If you can exercise you will see body changes</i>. </b>I have not been doing a great job of exercising throughout the weeks of my weight loss. Weight loss really is about the food you put into your mouth. I am exercising consistently now(for the last 2 weeks). I wish I had been exercising all along because it is great for toning your body and making you feel more energetic. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I had the time of my life yesterday! I went shopping with friends. I tried on all kinds of clothes. They kept egging me on!! I haven't had that much fun shopping since I was a teenager. We all tried things on! </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I have been on the <i><a href="http://agutandabutt.blogspot.com/2013/07/my-weigh-detailing-100-diet-plan.html">100 Diet</a> </i>for a while now and I am amazed at the results. I have lost weight before, but this time I am just losing so much body fat. Everyone says it's because your exercising. The truth is I haven't exercised consistently most of the time. It is about the food that I have put in my mouth. I have lost 36 pounds since February, but I started <i>The 100</i> in June. I lost 6 pounds the first week eating less than 100 sugar calories per day. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">The last two weeks I have been going to the gym and walking on the treadmill and lifting weights (mostly weight machines at this point). In the earlier days of my diet I did a little bit of work with a kettle bell at home. I just couldn't stay motivated by myself. I looked around and thought of all the other things I needed to be doing.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Okay, now more about the exciting stuff!! I decided to try on a corduroy mini-skirt. Well, guess what! The size 6 was too big! I had to try on a size 4 and it fit! The problem was they didn't have a color I liked in the corduroy size 4. ! So, I got the denim, which I liked too! My friend said, "You have to buy it, it's a size 4!"</span><br />

This is a picture of what they served. It was absolutely delicious! I have tried to make the sauerkraut at home since and here is the recipe I used.</span></b><br />

It is such a beautiful castle, way overdone inside for my taste, by still quite a beautiful place. The views from there are breathtaking! I have heard that Cinderella's castle in Disney is copied from it.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Now I wish I had! If I had been working hard for the last several months my muscles would be tight now. The good thing is if I work hard now they will be tight by spring when I put on shorts and when I get ready to put on a bathing suit again.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Weight loss and exercise are hard to stick with because you don't see results overnight. It takes time and hard work. If you are working and watching your weight today you will see results for that later. It isn't going to be visible today. If you stick with it, you will see results. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I haven't been at many local events since school was out in June. Since my son moved away to college I haven't been at ball games and school events. Today I went to some places in town and saw people I haven't seen in a while. I was walking across the street and I heard someone yell, "If you lose any more weight, you are going to blow away!" I looked up to see who was talking and who they were talking too! I realized someone was talking to me! It was a shocker! I have had a few incidents like this in the last week. It took 33 weeks to get here!</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I realize I have lost weight and this month I can really see it big time. I just didn't realize it was so obvious to others. When I look in a mirror I can't believe those are my legs. <i>They are so skinny!</i></span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">It has taken months to get here. Guess what! I am here! You can do it too! The most awesome part is, I have learned new habits over the last 8 months. I have developed different tastes. Some fruits taste almost too sweet for me now. You know when you go out to a restaurant and they sit bread on your table. I don't even notice the bread is there anymore! It's like a table decoration! Pretty, but I wouldn't want to eat it.</span><br />

Personally, I believe that if you just make some changes you will see results. I know there are things that everyone can eliminate from their diets or at least cut back on. I know for me that's processed sugar and wheat. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">It has taken me 33 weeks to get here. Some of those weeks I didn't eat great. Some weeks were harder than others. Take a look back at some of the posts and you can see what was going on during those weeks. In June, I had a week where graduation cake was a major problem, and believe me I ate a bunch of that cake. Once the cake was out of my house I went right back to my eating habits. Probably more strict than before because I was afraid of failing.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">If you have 100's of pound to lose and your saying, "well you only had to lose around 40 pounds, that's nothing!" If you start losing now you will probably lose faster since you have more to lose. You might lose 40 pounds in less than half the time it took me. It's possible you could lose twice the weight in the time it took me. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">How would you feel about being 60-80 pounds lighter by spring. If you started today, 33 weeks is May 20. You could be much lighter by the time spring gets here!</span><br />

That skin on that thing is really trying to protect what's inside. I fought with that old squash trying to get it to hold still long enough to force the knife through the rind. I did conquer that **!!!** spaghetti squash. </span></div>

<span style="font-size: large;">When you get it cut in half. Just scoop in the there and remove the seeds and the mushy stuff around the seeds. I chose to cook mine in the microwave. If I had been using the oven to cook something else I would probably have put it in the oven. Since I was just making the squash I just placed it face down on a paper plate and cooked it in the microwave. I cooked it for 8 minutes. I have seen different times for cooking. 8 minutes worked great! When I pulled it out of the microwave it looked like this.</span></div>

As soon as it cooled down so that I could handle it without burning my hand off, I got a fork and started digging out the insides of the squash.</span></div>

<span style="font-size: large;">My post <a href="http://agutandabutt.blogspot.com/2013/08/i-gained-375-new-pinterest-followers-in.html">I Gained 375 Pinterest Followers in the Last Six Weeks</a> has been very popular. It has been read more than any other post on my blog. It gave many pointers and included a video by some great bloggers who have been doing a series of Hangouts to teach new bloggers to increase their pageviews. I have learned so much from them. I am going to post the video again in this post so if you have time you will really learn so much if you watch it.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I started keeping track of my Pinterest followers on July 1. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">July 1 - approximately 1600</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">August 11 - 1979</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">August 31 - 2193</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">September 30 - 2610</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">So, in 3 months I have increased by 1010. I am increasing at a faster pace as I go along. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">They great thing about this is as my Pinterest followers increase, my blog pageviews increase. Pinterest is my number 2 source for pageviews. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">If you are interested in increasing your pageviews you will want to work on increasing your Pinterest followers.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">If you read my earlier post </span><a href="http://agutandabutt.blogspot.com/2013/08/i-gained-375-new-pinterest-followers-in.html" style="font-size: x-large;">I Gained 375 Pinterest Followers in the Last Six Weeks</a><span style="font-size: large;"> it will tell you how I started gaining and the strategies I used.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I really don't want to spend time repeating all those because I have new information I want to give you. If you missed the previous information go take a look.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Here are my top 10 tips</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">1. Make your photos pop! You can do this by taking great pictures and by editing your photos with sites like <a href="http://www.picmonkey.com/">PicMonkey</a> and <a href="http://ipiccy.com/">iPiccy</a>. I posted a couple of posts with tutorials on using <a href="http://www.picmonkey.com/">PicMonkey</a>. <a href="http://agutandabutt.blogspot.com/2013/09/how-to-use-picmonkey.html">How to use PicMonkey</a> and <a href="http://agutandabutt.blogspot.com/2013/09/picmonkey-what-can-i-do.html">PicMonkey What Can I Do?</a> There are several great videos on YouTube if you need to know more.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">2.</span> <span style="font-size: large;"> Use Hashtags! You need to use hashtags to make your pins searchable. Your hashtags should be what someone would search for to find your pin. If you are pinning something on Weight Loss, your hashtags might be #WeightLoss #LosingWeight #Diet , you get the idea.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">3. Go back to previous pictures and make them look better and repin with the improved picture. I have done this with a few of my old posts and I have started getting pins from them.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">4. Make your boards inspiring. It's important to work on your boards and make sure the cover picture is compelling. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">5. Join group boards that have lots of followers that are in your niche. When you post to the boards lots of people will see them and maybe come to visit your blog or follow you.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">6. Join Pinterest Linkys. There are several good linkys to follow. I have increased my following by doing this. I mentioned some in the previous posts. These linkys come and go so you may have to look around for them. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">7. Many of the new blog hop/linkys are now pinning your posts. If you link up with them you will have your posts pinned. Some only pin the featured blogs of the week and some pin all the blogs. You may also be pinned by fellow hoppers. I have been a featured pinner in <a href="http://www.croppedstories.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-pincentive-blog-hop-week-4.html#.UkkWxNKsiSo">The PINcentive Blog Hop</a> this month. I was able to submit 2 pins to be pinned by 30 other pinners.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">8. Follow other pinners and repin some of their stuff. This may encourage them to follow you back. Find pinners that are in your niche and have pins that are recent. You also may want to follow some of the people that followed them recently.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">9. Pin throughout the day. You can pin 3 or 4 pins every 2-3 hours. It takes only a minute to do this and you are seen throughout the day. Chances are people will repin your posts and follow your boards.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">10. Pin your posts to multiple boards. If you have a board for weight loss, another for fitness, a group board for sharing posts you can pin to all of them. You may want to pin to them at different times of the day, not all at once. I also will wait for someone to repin my initial post and then repin their post to another board. Apparently, it's better for you to repin someone else's pin. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I spent the day at the Atlanta New Earth Festival. It is in the small town of Atlanta, Indiana. It is a huge festival and the day was beautiful. The place was so crowded. There are booths throughout the town. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I found this repurposed headboard made into a coat rack. The hooks are made from vintage forks. I thought this was great looking. I probably would not buy one in that color, but I loved the overall look of it.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">The second thing that I found that I really liked was called <i>Fire Rocks. </i>They are beautiful natural flaming stones. They can be used indoors or outdoors. You fill them will an oil and they will burn for about 3 hours. They provide a little funnel to refill the oil. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I would love one for my deck. I have to get my husband's okay on it. He is picky about what we use on the deck. He is worried about keeping us safe. Here is one of the fire rocks burning. It is hard to see the 3 flames in the photograph.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I went to the festival with a friend and her teenage daughter. It was a fun day and I got a few ideas of things to create.
