The real Story!!!

My Photo
I am the married mother of four, one still in high school.  I have two grandsons, whom I totally enjoy.  My job got downsized a little over a year ago.  I have two genealogy/family history  blogs that I have been working on and loving it.  I am trying to get healthy and get in shape. I have done it several times over the years and then just quit.  I hope that by blogging it will encourage me to get healthy and stay that way.  I will probably blog about anything that crosses my mind.  I hope I have something to say that will be of interest to others.

If you are interested in visiting my other blogs they are My Mother's Family History and The Plummer Gang Revisited.  I also have a blog that is just obituaries from local newspaper in my home area.  They are not my family just newspaper that are not digitized anyway yet.  I hope they have some information that others might be able to use.  That blog is Indiana Newspaper From The Past.

  1. I have 4 children also - mine are all boys. Your blog is very inspiring! I committed to running a 5K with 2 of my boys in May and I'm a bit freaked out about it! Hope to get in much better shape by then! :P

    1. I think four is a perfect number. With three boys and two grandsons I have totally become a boy mom. I have friends with girls and they seem so different. Dealing with many different issues. My daughter has the two boys so she is a boy mom too, so it works well. I really need to be exercising more.

  3. I have two sons and two grandchildren - a boy and a girl. Though I've never had a weight problem, I started paying a lot more attention to the effects of sugar once I had children and even more once I had grandchildren. You are setting a good role model for them.

  6. The company that I work for just outsourced my position, and my husband's position will be ending as well. I decided that I wanted so badly to use that happening as a catalyst for changing our lives. I enjoyed reading your story.
