I have my daughter's 40th birthday to celebrate today. It started out as a quick lunch and a movie. Now the two grown brother's want to come along to. They are 36 & 38. My 18 years is bringing a friend. So the party is growing. I think there are eight of us now, unless someone comes along that I don't know about. We are having lunch at Chili's and then going to the movies.
The day we came home from the hospital. We stopped by my mom's before we headed home. We lived a couple of hours from the hospital where she was born.
The celebration doesn't mean I need to eat cake. I want to be thin, the enjoyment of being thin will outlast eating cake. Eating cake will totally screw up my eating habits.
Hope you have a wonderful celebration. You have more willpower then me!! :-)
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Frances
Thanks. I don't really have willpower, I just know sugar is my downfall. We have spring break coming up and I am going to have to wear a bathing suit.
DeleteCake is always so hard to resist! I hope you had a great celebration!
ReplyDeleteI hope the celebration was great, I like the picture. I can't believe you have a daughter who is 40. You don't look near old enough.
ReplyDeleteLOL at the 'step away from the cake' ideal. I've done it a time or two, but it was never fun. I love cake. :)
Have a wonderful day celebrating! We "officially" celebrated my son's brithday today. He wanted to go to Lazer Tag. It was fun and a workout! I'll be waiting to hear your movie review! I'm considering whether or not to see that movie in the theatre.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your daughter Betty. I hope you all had a great time celebrating. Lovely picture! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhatever you decide, you have my support. My motto is everything in moderation and maybe it will be yours someday too. I'm so happy to read that you're taking better care of yourself. I'm sure that your kids are happy too. Thanks for sharing the picture, I love to remember times past.

Hello Betty,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by "A Girls Gotta Nest"! I've been flour, sugar and soy free for a week now....loving it. I made permanent life changing move because of my health, Hypothyroidism. Where some think it not an easy task. for me however, it was an easy choice and process. The weight is coming off, I'm not in a "fog" and the energy I feel is outstanding. I wish you the very best in your decision to eat wheat and sugar free.
Happy Birthday to your daughter! Enjoy your day!!
Hugs, Tami
I wish I had your willpower.
