Friends Friday and My New Favorite Grocery Store!

Today is a new day! This is the only day that counts!

I have decided to use Friday to say Thank You to some people who have motivated me each week.  I have now been around for a few weeks and have made a few blogger friends.  Each week I try to thank a few of you that have been helpful with comments or have motivated just by their posts.  It doesn't have to be a post about weight loss, it's just something that I appreciate and gives me a smile.  My goal is healthy living and and having fun is a big part of healthy living.  I have spent a lot of time reading other people's posts.  There are some great ones out there!  Keep posting!!

This weeks  Friday's Friends are:

ThistleBear
Losing Weight and Finding Crystal
Mail4Rosey
Frugal in WV
My Morning Cup of Coffee

Now to my regularly scheduled post.  I went to the grocery store yesterday and I just wanted to tell you it is my absolutely new favorite grocery store.  It is new to our area.  It is only about fifteen minutes from my house.  There are other healthy food stores around, but they are about an hour away.  When I go to those it costs me gas money plus the cost of food, which is higher. I just didn't make it to them very often.  Of course, this one is more expensive too, but I don't have to spend money on gas.  It is close to where I am going for other things anyway.  I don't know if this store is available in your area, but I love it.  It is EarthFare.

I can't believe this, I have fun when I go to the grocery store.  The food actually smells good.  It is mostly organic and as locally grown as they can get this time of year.  As you go through the produce section the smells are heavenly.  I don't know why I never notice the smells in the big supermarket.   My family loves the strawberries from there.  They just walk by and snack on them.  They never last long.  The organic chicken is unbelievably good.  When my husband raves about it I know it is a hit.  And he doesn't mind me spending a little more for it.  Even though, he constantly reminds me, "You don't have a job!"  That's another story though!

They also offer family meals on Thursday nights.  All the kids eat free with an adult.  It is their way of giving back to the community. I thought that was very nice.  The people who work there are so friendly.  They tell me they love working there, because the work atmosphere is the best.  I have no connection with this store and am not getting paid to rave about them.  I just live the store right now.

I will be doing most of my food purchasing at this store now, it will help me to my goal of healthy living.  I think for healthy living I need to get away from all the processed foods and eat more naturally.  I now have a place close to home to make it easier for me to meet those goals.  Yeah!!!!

  6. What a great store! I'd love shopping there. It looks similar to a Whole Foods (which isn't near us either) or Trader Joe's (which we have a small one) Thanks for your visit today! I look forward to visiting again & will follow. Maybe I should get up early & go to our farmers market if it doesn't rain, since I don't have a store like that! Visiting from DearCreatives.com
