FTSF - If I Were Stuck on an Island I Would Like to Have........

I am back to participating in Finish the Sentence Friday, I have been too busy to keep up with everything the last few weeks and haven't been able to participate.  I think this is such a fun hop, so I am back to it this week.

As you saw in the title the sentence this week is:

If I were stuck on an island I would like to have.......

Wow, lucky for me they didn't say deserted island!  So I am assuming this is just a regular old island with all the conveniences of home and anyone who likes can come visit you.  That makes it a whole lot easier!

So, since my family can be around I don't have to worry about that!  I can move on to interesting things.

Since this is my fantasy, first off,  I am going to get my body back that I had in my twenties, wait a minute, I did say fantasy.  I had a great body in my twenties, but I am sure there are greater bodies out there, and since it is a fantasy, I'll take one of those.

Now I have this fantastic body, what else do I need?  Since my island is inhabited, I guess I will need clothes.  And since I have this gorgeous body, I have to put on great clothes to show it off.  So I guess I'll need designer clothes.

With a great body and designer clothes, I have to have a great place to live with all the attributes.  So there you go, now I have to have a beautiful, fully stocked home.

When do I get to move to this island?  I am getting excited about it already!

Now I sound like a material person, but this is a fantasy, right!  Next, I have to have my dog.  She has to come stay with me.  She would be lonely without me.  My family is there, so she needs to be with us!

I need lots of books and my iPad as I'll be laying around in the sun most of the day.  I will be walking the beach and enjoying rest and relaxation.

I'm not sure how long it would take me to get bored with my new life.  I have never gotten the opportunity to find out how long I can just hang out on the beach and have no real responsibilities.  It might be a while before I decided I needed something else to do.

How long could you live this lifestyle?  I need to find out!  No responsibilities sounds so good for a while.  Would you like to stop by for a visit?  I have an empty chair.

Next weeks sentence is:

This summer I plan to......

Back to reality!!

  2. The only reason I don't live in Maui is offspring. I have no fear of 'island fever.' I LONG for Maui's relaxed pace. Focus on nature and its beauty. Maui is where my soul lives. :)

    1. I have been to Maui, and I totally understand. I understand about the offspring too. I had always thought when I retired I would go to a warm place, but now I can't leave the kids and grandkids.

  4. I already live at the beach and Australia is an island lol. My wonderful place I"d like to be is in the country...lots of mountains, trees, and bubbling streams. A nice porch (that's patio in Aussie lingo) and just listen to the wind in the trees. Oh you've got me wanting that right now!

  13. Books...and lots of them...really...why? You have your own island and you're brining books...sorry, I just don't understand it. Well I guess if those said books had pictures in them...and maybe even if they were on tape...then I could see it.
