My Gardening - A Labor of Love

I have gotten to work in my yard for the last two days.  Only about an hour the first day, but I spent 5 hours working yesterday and I am ready to head out today!

I have a huge canker sore in my mouth.  It has been so painful, that I can't wear my partial plate.  I have been staying at home most of the day to let it heal, so that means time in my yard.  I have to put it in to go to the games in the evening.  I can't go without it.  So either I stay home completely or I wear it for a while to go out.

I worked like slave labor yesterday.  I am surprised I can move today.  Yet, I am excited to get back out today.  I have gone to bed at a reasonable time the last two nights.  This just might solve my sleeping issues!!

I haven't taken any pictures yet, too busy working.   I probably have at least a week to get all the flower beds done.  I spent most of the day trimming yesterday.  It's the first time I have been able to get anything done, it had turned into a jungle.  There are still some spots where water is standing near the back that I didn't get to work on.

I have to clean out all my perennial beds and get ready to put some annuals in.  I have to get my area ready for tomato plants and try to get those in very soon.

We are having rain forecasts for the next five days.  I am telling you we are in monsoon weather here this year.  Then it will do like it normally does, get hot and dry and stay that way for a month or two.  WE GO FROM ONE EXTREME TO THE OTHER!!

So, my love for gardening is getting me some exercise, as well as, helping my sleep!!  And I love it, what more could I ask for.  I know, a few more dry days!!

I feel like the child in the picture when I go out to work in my flower beds.  So happy and ready to go. It's not so good on my hands though.  I can't seem to wear gloves for very long.  I guess when my gardening is all caught up it will be time for a manicure.  I may need a little pampering by then.

UPDATE:

Thanks for all the prayers for my MIL.  She is progressing very well.  They think they may get off the respirator soon.  They have had her out of bed!!  So amazing!!  The doctors said she had been a miracle.  I believe that prayers make miracles.

Sorry about the canker sore. I bet it's stress-related. Glad gardening is helping you sleep better!

    1. My MIL can't really talk yet with the trach in, but she seems to have figured out how to argue with the nurses. She is already trying to get out of the bed. She is a feisty one. I think that's why she is getting better.

  2. Wonderful about your MIL. Talking about mouths. At the Dentist yesterday he put this think over my tooth that had a long silver thing on the end and it was sticking out of my mouth while he worked. It must of been leaning on my lips because today I have a busted lip and 2 ulcers just inside. The Dentist is a dangerous place lol. It's that time of the year here to be out in the garden getting ready to plant veggies.
