AM I GETTING WRINKLY???
I took a picture of my face this week after losing 23.5 pounds. I posted the other day about how I was worried about getting wrinkly if I lost too much weight. I had several people comment that I have a face structure that wouldn't really show too many wrinkles. I decided to post a before and after face picture to see what you think.
I think I want to lose at least 20 more pounds. What will that do to my skin?
I also got a haircut the other day. I haven't decided how much I like it and whether I will keep it this length for a while.
So tell me what you think of my old, wrinkly skin and whether I should keep my hair like this.
You know, I don't see much difference wrinkle wise. You look nice and the hair is pretty. However, don't focus on that. We all get older.. if we live long enough. There are side effects to aging. However, bad health has far worse side effects. Learn to celebrate being alive.
ReplyDeleteI tell myself that I now have character lines.
Thanks for the hair compliments. I really want to stay healthy. I guess some days the mirror makes me feel like it is all coming on too quickly. Most of the time I just avoid the mirrors.
DeleteDon't worry about wrinkles, girl. You look great! And congratulations on your weight loss!!
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
Meredith
Thanks Meredith! I don't usually worry too much about the wrinkles, but I have seen some people that lose weight and they really start to look old and unhealthy. I don't want to do that!
DeleteWhat wrinkles?!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'll say it again, even if we are getting wrinkles, HEALTHY IS MORE IMPORTANT. Geesh! You can't possibly want to favor (I'll say it) vanity over health?!
I totally agree with Gwen.
DeleteI have always been of the mind that I look fabulous if I just stay away from the mirrors. I think I am more concerned about not going too far with the dieting and making myself look bad. I have seen some older women that just keep going and they start to look like skeletons. I don't think that is very healthy either. I don't think that will ever become a problem for me. I haven't been too skinny for a long, long time.
DeleteFirst off Betty... the lighting is different with every setting... I definitely don't see a lot of wrinkles, nothing for you to worry about:)
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks cute :)
Thanks Launna! I think when I took the picture of my new hair, I looked at my face a little too long and I thought I was really starting to look old. I am getting used to my new haircut. It is much easier to take care of.
DeleteI like the shorter hair - I really don't like longer hair as we age, just my opinion. As for wrinkles, I have certainly become more wrinkled as I lost weight! Sad but true... never mind though at least my bum looks better in jeans :) I can't notice any difference in your wrinkles though,
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynda! I have noticed my bum is looking a little better too! My husband told me he has been noticing it too. I haven't had really short hair for years. It looks cute on you, I don't think it looks very good on me. My hair is so thick, it just won't keep a style without haircuts every two weeks. I get tired of having haircuts.
DeleteYou look so pretty Betty! I love the way your new haircut frames your face and actually makes you look younger. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely compliments, Linda!!
DeleteI think you look great, Betty. Honestly, I'd probably take the wrinkles if it meant my overall health were improved by having lost weight.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jennifer!! I just don't want to have too many wrinkles yet!!
DeleteYou look fine. Take vitamin e if you want improved skin.

I probably should start taking a little vitamin E. Thanks!!
DeleteI see the aging going on when I look in a mirror. My health is the most important thing though. Thanks for the hair compliment. I still haven't decided if I like the way it looks, but it is easier to do.
ReplyDeleteI like the new haircut, the length is great. And don't worry about wrinkles, I don't see any :)
ReplyDeleteI don't see any wrinkles! I just see a slimming head shot! Congrats on taking thsoe pounds off!
