My Weigh - Travel Time: Where Would You Travel To?

Make sure to take a look at My Weight Loss Blog Directory!!!

Where would you go?

If money wasn't an issue and you could visit anywhere in the United States, where would you go?  Anywhere in the world, where would that be?

If you haven't noticed I have a travel addiction.  I love going places.  Any place, really.  If I could go anywhere in the United States I would go to Alaska.  I have been around most of the United States.  I have never seen Alaska.

I have been to Hawaii, or I would make that my choice.

Where In The World Would I Go?

This one is harder.  There are so many places I haven't been.  I have been to places I would like to return to.

Paris is the first place to come to mind.  I have been there twice and I love it.  I think I could move there.

I really should go somewhere I haven't been.  I might find there is another place that I would fall in love with.

My second thought is either Italy or Australia.  Oh my, this is a difficult choice.  I was so close to Italy when I was in Europe in November, but didn't get to go there.   Our friends had an exchange student from Australia back several years ago.  If the people are like her, Australia would be loads of fun.

Okay, I pick Australia.  Maybe I'll go to Italy in my next fantasy.

Tell me your choices!  I can't wait to hear where you would go.

I'm waiting!!!

My Weekly Weigh-In

I went down this week!!  Whoop-whoop!!  I would have been happier with a larger weight loss.  Last week I was up 1/2 pound so I had hoped to see a larger loss this week.  I have come to the point where I don't complain about a loss.  Any loss is good!!  I am still on THE 100 diet.  This is the end of week 5.  I have to stay under 100 sugar calories.  That is any carb grams multiplied by 4.  It doesn't allow for much in the way of carbs.  It is very similar to the Paleo/Primal way of eating.

    1. You sound like me. I want to go everywhere. My husband is not really much of a traveler. I would like to take him to Paris, just not sure he would love it as much as I do. I think he would enjoy Maine or Alaska more. He likes wide open spaces and not so many people.

  4. I would go to Oregon for my place in the US... I spent a month there in 1995 and adored it...

For Europe, I would go to Portugal...then Spain and Italy... :)

Congratulations on the weight loss... my weigh in day is Friday :)

    1. I have never been to Oregon. I haven't made it that far into the Northwest. I would still like to travel to that area. I want to see every state in the U.S. That's all on my bucket list. I could go anywhere in Europe!

Good luck for Friday's weight loss!!!

    1. Thanks!!

I was in Paris and London in November. Just a couple of days. I have spent more time in both in the past. Well worth a trip! I spent a few hours in the airport in Amsterdam. I wish I would have had time to visit while I was there.

  7. Oh Betty, if you go to Australia, you'd have to come to New Zealand too!!

Where would I go... in US I'd go to New York - I'd love to sail in or out of New York on a cruise ship. The rest of the world? Well I've been to England, France, Italy, Australia, Fiji, Dubai, Monaco, Hawaii, US, Greece, Spain, Croatia.. well lots of places so where would I want to go next? Back to England then Scotland and probably France - like Gwen I didn't take my man so a trip there with him would be great!!

    1. Well, of course, if I got down under I would have to make a stop in New Zealand!

You have really traveled the world! Maybe you should write a travel blog. A cruise into or out of New York would be fantastic. I have been to New York state, but never into the city. When I went to England I didn't make it to Scotland. I just have so many places yet to go. I am going to have to live a long time because my bucket list is just so long!!

  8. I want to visit Italy, and pretty much tour Europe. I'm a traveler too. :) There are people (MANY of them) in this state who are proud that they never leave the borders, never have and never will. I can't imagine making my world so small!

    1. Oh, I so agree with you! I love meeting the people from all over the world. The beauty of this world is amazing. I can't imagine not knowing how it feels to look across the Grand Canyon and see the Eiffel Tower. I grew up reading about so many of these things. Now when I read about some of these places and I imagine I'm standing there, I can actually feel the places I have been. How do you want to spend your life not knowing what exists beyond your borders.

  9. Betty...you and I have talked before about our travels...not many places we both have not been. It's so funny that you mentioned thins question because my DR. Appt TODAY decides whether or not we will go on vacation. I feel sorry for my husband on the 1 1/2 hour ride back from Las Cruces about me babbling about where and what to do for 2 weeks. Since we fly for free I am thinking about going to the Intl departures and checking avail and go where the flights are light and no VISA is required. IF we don't do that we were thinking Alaska, Co. Galway, Ireland or Scotland. Ireland and Alaska are my favorite places in the whole world!!!! One other possibility is leaving hubby at home and let him get some work on the house done and I will go home to my friends and family in New Jersey.

  14. Awesome on the weight loss... congratulations!

Hmmm, I'd love to go to Alaska, too. Not in the winter, though. Since seeing a duck-billed platypus is on my wish list, I guess the best place to go for that would have to be Australia, but I'd really like to go to Scotland some day, too. Or a million other places...

  17. Great job on the weight loss! I can't wait to hear how your pizza turns out. My husband and I would both love to travel to Maine. I have always wanted to go there and see the lighthouses. My husband is a Stephen King Addict!

I know this is in response to another post, but I did some research on saving money and eating the Paleo lifestyle. One suggestion I found was that once you find something you like at a health food store, look online and buy in bulk. With things like Almond flour you have to be careful because I think even in the freezer it has a shorter life than other foods. (not sure on that one)

Thanks for the suggestions! I will have to look into it if I decide to continue using these products.
