Workout Routines

I have been having issues trying to figure out how to exercise on the days I don't go to the gym.  I have thought about getting a place, the church or the library, and just getting a group of women together to exercise with the P90X program.  I spoke to someone about it today and I am still working on that idea.

I feel that would be a strong motivation for me to get a strong routine going and help other people to get in shape at the same time.   If I were close enough to the gym I would love to go there everyday, but with the distance and time involved and the cost of gas, I just can't do it.  So I have to have another option.

I have the P90X program, I just can't seem to get started on it by myself.  I don't know if it just seems too difficult or too compicated or something.

Today I was shopping and I found something on the clearance table at Meijer.  I had never seen this program before, but it sounds interesting.  It is KettleWorX.  It looks like a good program for me to really get started with.  It seems simple, yet something that could be really effective.  It says you do the program 20 minutes 3 times per week.  I could always increase it to 40 or more minutes.   And the best thing is I only paid $20.00 for the program.  I am excited about starting the program tomorrow.

Have any of you used this program?

After I do my first workout with it I will post and let you know what I think.

  1. I don't used any programs, but there is a secret part of me that would love to get the "right" program and stick dvds in and just "do it" in the lounge room. I've looked at some things but haven't really found the right one. Part of me wouldn't mind trying Zumba but I wonder if it's too over the top for this 50+ housewife!

    1. I'm sure I answered this. I just wanted to tell you to give Zumba a try. I might be really fun and help a lot.

  2. I've done a little of the P90X with an instructor/personal trainer that does group classes and boot camps. It definitely works! Right now I'm just going to the gym and doing exercises with a couple of friends that really encourage each other to keep improving. I wouldn't mind having a video at home for the days when I can't make it...would love to hear how you like this one after you've used it a bit. Thanks for joining in our healthy party!

  3. I have tried P90X but really didn't like it. They try too hard to be cool and hip and funny, but they are none of those, ha ha. I never heard of this KettleWorkx, but let us know what you think of it! I have the Supreme 90 Day set which isn't as fancy as P90X but are shorter workouts with less chit-chat, and I like those.
