Today's A-Z Blogging Challenge - I am a Loser!! Are you???

The letter L, the first thing that came to mind was Loser.  I am a loser, certainly not the biggest loser, but consistently losing pounds each week.  You don't have to remind me, I know my weight was up 5.5 pounds last week, but that was water gain.  As of this morning my weight was at pre-vacation weight.  I hope by Monday when I do an official weigh-in that there will be more than a 5.5 pound drop.

Are you staying consistent in your weight loss?  If you are consistently losing, you are doing great.  Even if you are losing a small amount, you are still making progress.  Each little bit adds up to a large amount.  Don't beat yourself up because your weight loss isn't huge each and every week.  Just work to develop a downward pattern and keep doing the things that you know you need to do to get to a healthy weight.

Tell me, have you exercised regularly this week?  Do you step it up occasionally?  Give your body a challenge, don't allow your body to get totally used to what your are doing.  You will see more progress if you change things up a little and push yourself.

As far as diet is concerned, I believe the biggest aspect of my weight loss is eating very little wheat or wheat products and little to no sugar.  If I eat this way it eliminates all the processed foods.  I think eating things in their natural state is not only great for your health it is also fantastic for weight loss.  I try to eat meats, fruits and vegetables, nuts, and a small amount of dairy.  I occasionally allow myself a piece or two of pizza.

You know if we all work at it we can be the "biggest losers" in our blog family.  We can all encourage each other!!

  1. Whew, pizza is the hardest thing for me to give up, it's always been my favorite.

I exercised almost every day this week. I go through phases where I don't, and then my bottom starts yelling at me and I get back to the grindstone. ;) Working out makes me feel good, in any case.

Giving up wheat and sugar is an awesome strategy to healthy eating.

Thank you for your support on my post today, that topic makes me more than mildly annoyed/upset.

    1. Yes I did find some recipes with alternative pizza crusts, I pinned them to Pinterest. As soon as I get time I am going to try them. The problem is I like it best when I can just sit down and let someone else seve me fresh, hot, pizza.

  3. Truer words have never been spoken! I know that if I have a stumbling block, I ate it! My favorite eCard says: If we are what we eat, I had better eat a skinny person.

  5. Well done it is hard to do. Good Luck. I was introduced to the 'five rites ritual', which sounds all new age but isn't, it's 5 exercises that takes about 10 minutes a day, really that's all. It's actually 22 yoga movements that monks thousands of years ago condensed into these 5 exercises, you start with 3 of each and build up to doing each exercise 22 times. That's all I do once a day and I felt better after about 4 weeks, more toned and flexible. Anyway just a thought.
